Illich Mujica is a Venezuelan-born, New York City-bred DJ, producer, and musical curator who commands the dance floor, creating an emotional journey that lifts the crowd into cosmic realms of self-discovery. He understands a DJ performance as a communal experience, a delicate dance in which a listener’s and a DJ’s energy combine to create a unique experience each and every time.

With over two decades of experience playing in New York City’s top clubs and venues (Output, Sony Music Hall, House of Yes and X, Cielo), international hotel and resort rooftops and lounges (Public Hotel, The Standard), exclusive parties (Caravan Gitane, Woomoon closing afterparty Ibiza, Lightning Society’s Burlesquerade), festivals (Robot Heart at Burning Man, Wonderfruit, Mysteryland) and private events, he can dig deep into his vast musical library to craft the perfect set for almost any setting. His fan-favorite sets are ones of transition: musical journeys that bring the crowd from a sunny day to a sensual night or driving, dark beats to a joyous sunrise.

Recently Illich has brought in his visual skills as a professional architect and designer to curate 3D sensory experiences that bring together dozens of DJs and performance artists in seamless and intentional storytelling, most notably for the Ephemeral Ball at Sony Music Hall in Times Square, New York City. Each DJ set by Illich Mujica provides a new and unique container for connection and joy on the dance floor.
