We are thrilled to announce that we have coaxed another super awesome islander to navigate the festival boat. Jan Teevet takes on the role of the creative director of the I Land Sound festival!
He has graduated from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre as a director and enriched the life of Paide with theatre and creativity. Now he finds himself in a new role as the creative director and a conductor (even if he sings out of tune), who works with the team to create a coherent world where time, space and people could meet in a way that’s not possible in any other place or time.
After five festival years we felt like the festival needed a little shake-up, something different that would feel new and exciting to those who have travelled along with us from the beginning. And Jan is just the right person to create something inspiring, something the festival hasn’t seen before.
Like Jan said – it is time to take a huge leap forward and see where the winds take us!
