EAS and Kredex support I Land Sound 2024

We keep on sailing on the wave of positive news and are happy to let you know that the joint institution of EAS and Kredex supports our this year’s gathering with 75, 000 euros.

The funding helps us in continuing our environmental journey, to strengthen the bonds of community and enrich the overall festival experience. For us this is an opportunity, and in a sense a responsibility, to introduce our festival and values, but also Estonia as a destination that welcomes and surprises its visitors not just with beautiful nature but also with a rich cultural programme.

Rainer Aavik,  the head of tourism of the joint institution, said that the international sports and cultural events in Estonia have a very wide impact, and well organised events and their loyal visitors are the most efficient way to bring more people to Estonia. ‘Besides having an economical effect, they also help to market Estonia abroad and bring us more positive attention,’ commented Aavik.

In addition to I Land Sound 2024 festival, seven other culture and sports events in Estonia received the funding. The list includes Pärnu light theatre festival “ÖÖvalgel” 2024, VIII Narva Opera Festival, Tallinn Music Week 2024, Estonian Grand Prix 2024, European Discgolf Festival 2024, IBU Youth and Junior Biathlon World Championships and Tartu Rattaralli 2024.

The funding is intended for organising the event and for international marketing and forms up to 70% of the overall costs, to which our own financing is added.

I Land Sound is a 4-day outdoor festival that takes place in Saaremaa, illiku since 2017. The festival aims to introduce the talents and creativity of international music, art and other creative disciplines and values environment and sustainable lifestyle. The goal of the project is to organise a cultural event with international interest and participation, which will bring positive attention and improve Estonia’s visibility in foreign markets. The project’s successful outcome is measured by a certain number of foreign visitors partaking in the event and by the number of nights they will stay in Estonia.
